Upcoming Book Announcement: A New Book for Teens on Discipleship and Learning the Bible

I’m excited to officially announce a release date for my new (and first) book, Love that Shares: How the Great Commandment Tells the Story of the Bible, reveals God’s Love for Us, and Helps Us Share God’s Love with Others. I’ve been working on this book for a little over a year now, and I’m so happy to finally share it on the blog!

While reflecting on the past couple of years in youth ministry, I’ve noticed a common issue with many of our students. Most of them are new to the Christian faith, and even after they begin to follow Jesus, get baptized, and join a church community, they’ve expressed wanting more direction on day-to-day discipleship. Beyond reading the Bible, praying, and attending a church community, what does being a Jesus follower look like? Discipleship is to be always practiced in community and mentorship, but I felt compelled to write Love that Shares as a tool to help give some direction.

Love that Shares is a short and simple guide to seeing the Christian life through the lens of the Great Commandment: Love God and love your neighbor. The book is for young Christians wanting to understand how the Great Commandment shapes both our identity and our day-to-day living. It also gives a simple overview of the Bible’s story, helping young Christians see how the Great Commandment is woven from Genesis to Revelation.

This book is specifically for teenagers in the 8th-12th grade range. My hope is that will serve as an accessible resource for teens new to the Christian faith. Love that Shares will be published through Amazon and is set to be released on March 24, 2025. More details including the cover art will be released soon!
